ACUÑA: “ESTAMOS SEGUROS QUE VAMOS A LLEGAR A LA CANTIDAD SOLICITADA PARA CONVOCAR A ESE REFERÉNDUM”
Durante todo el fin de semana, brigadas conformadas por dirigentes sindicales trabajaron en distintos puntos de la ciudad.
A nivel del PIT.CNT local, hay optimismo en que se alcanzará el número de firmas necesarias para habilitar el proceso de referéndum, indicó Daniel Acuña: “estuvimos en la Plaza de la Concordia recogiendo firmas y la verdad que nos fue bien, la gente se arrima, cosa que nos deja contentos y son augurios de que nos va a ir bien con la juntada de firmas, estamos seguros que vamos a llegar a la cantidad solicitada para convocar a ese referéndum”, manifestó el sindicalista, quien dijo que también se concurrió la feria dominical, Parque Zorrilla, Rivera, y en el centro de la ciudad: “nosotros estamos abriendo casi todos los días el local de la Federación, está siendo buena la actividad, también tenemos compañeros recogiendo firmas en Aceguá, Noblía y en otras localidades del interior del departamento como Río Branco, pero también pensamos empezar a coordinar para llegar a otras zonas, para salir a dar una peinada por estos lugares y recoger la firma de quien tenga la voluntad de sumarse a esta campaña”, señaló.
Acuña aclaró que por el momento no se está desarrollando el trabajo puerta a puerta: “sin duda la pandemia ha afectado la planificación y es una complicación pero nosotros estamos tomando los recaudos, tratamos siempre de respetar el distanciamiento físico y otras medidas sanitarias recomendadas”, agrego.
Vale recordar que la campaña de recolección de firmas que impulsa el PIT.CNT propone la derogación de 135 artículos de la Ley de Urgente Consideración: “nosotros como PIT.CNT, junto a otras organizaciones sociales, también con el apoyo del Frente Amplio, estamos tratando de derogar 135 artículos de la LUC, no toda la LUC, ese fue el consenso mayoritario que llegamos y así lo estamos haciendo pero recordemos que con juntar las firmas no derogamos nada. Después de esto empezará la campaña, si llegamos a la firma, que estamos seguros vamos a llegar, para hacer el referéndum y realmente drogar esos 135 artículos”, puntualizó, informando que la Comisión pro-Referéndum se ha marcado como fecha máxima para recoger las firmas el mes de junio, ya que posteriormente se inicia la etapa de validación por parte de la Corte Electoral.
