El Municipio presentó oficialmente ante el Ministro de Turismo un proyecto de convenio que permita la recuperación de ese histórico edificio municipal en nuestro principal balneario.
Según informó el alcalde Christian Morel, se solicita apoyo económico a la cartera de Estado con el objetivo de remodelar aquella vieja estructura para que pueda funcionar como salón multiuso, sala de reuniones y también un servicio de parador que pueda trabajar en régimen de concesión: “realmente fue una muy buena instancia la recorrida que realizó el ministro Cardoso por el balneario, lo llevamos a la zona donde anhelamos que haya una bajada para las motos de agua y lanchas, también lo sacamos a recorrer por el balneario, lo llevamos al parador donde dijimos que ahí queríamos recibir un apoyo económico para la recuperación de la infraestructura de ese parador e incluso le solicitamos que el año que viene la Laguna se promocione de otra manera a nivel nacional, que nos ayuden con la difusión y que lo pongan como un punto principal en la oferta turística del país”, puntualizó el titular del gobierno local, quien reafirmó su compromiso de concretar el proyecto del viejo parador en este quinquenio: “la idea es generar en el casino viejo una suerte de salón que tenga vista hacia la playa y también hacia la calle 1, que tenga varias funciones, es decir que durante el año sirva para que los vecinos de la Laguna puedan tener un salón para festejar un cumpleaños o cualquier tipo de actividad, pero que también en el verano pueda ser un salón lindo para usarlo para la recepción de autoridades y que también funcione algún tipo de cantina bajo el régimen de concesión”, puntualizó, adelantando que el proyecto cuenta además con el respaldo del intendente José Yurramendi.
