El municipio de Tupambaé recibió una valiosa donación por parte del vecino Juan Antonio Godiño. Se trata tres máquinas para el trabajo en madera para el curso de Carpintería Rural que la UTU inicia en esa localidad.
Concretamente se trata de una máquina combinada de 5 operaciones, un cepillo de 50, y una maquina sin fin; el costo aproximado de las herramientas donadas es de 6 mil dólares: “solicitamos apoyo a un productor rural, en principio le pedimos un préstamo ya que estaba demorado el tema del papeleo a través del Municipio, el contrato de venta y todo lo demás, y nos dijo que no era un préstamo, que lo donaba, lo cual nos dejó gratamente sorprendidos porque son un maquinas que tienen un valor que ronda los 6000 dólares; se trata un productor rural que hace años viene colaborando con Tupambaé, con todas las instituciones, escuela, Liceo, caif, policlínica e incluso el propio Municipio así como instituciones como el Centro Obrero y Club Asociación”, manifestó la Alcaldesa Macarena Da Rosa, explicando que se trata de máquinas usadas pero en buenas condiciones y con muy poco uso: “además del curso de carpintería rural de la UTU, hay unos jóvenes interesados en crear una cooperativa, lo cual nos entusiasma mucho, que ellos mismos busquen su fuente de trabajo ya que en la localidad y en los alrededores hay mucha madera de calidad que se puede utilizar para hacer muebles”, agregó.
En otro orden, el Municipio continúa apoyando a estudiantes a través del hogar estudiantil en Montevideo: “nos enorgullece mucho darle esa posibilidad a los jóvenes, son nueve chiquilines de Tupambaé que tienen la posibilidad de acceder al hogar estudiantil, se hizo un llamado donde se anotaron nueve y los nueve tienen la oportunidad”, puntualizó, recordando que el servicio se gestiona de forma conjunta con el Municipio de Fraile Muerto.
